While researching the potential of collaborating on this project, partners identified a limited offer of sustainable tourism experiences targeted at low-income populations in partner regions but also beyond. Adult education providers also reported on a lack of knowledge and skills of those involved in the tourism sector and a lack of education on how to empower adult learners to make a shift to sustainable tourism practices and learning experiences to cover the needs of disadvantaged target groups.
